Itential Recognized in Six Gartner® Hype Cycle™ Reports for its Innovative Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration Technology

Itential named a sample vendor across Infrastructure Orchestration, NetDevOps, & Network Automation categories

ATLANTA AUGUST 8, 2023 Itential, the leading cloud-based network automation and orchestration platform, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has named Itential a sample vendor in six Gartner Hype Cycle reports this year:

  • “Hype Cycle for I&O Automation, 2023”1 (“Infrastructure Orchestration,” “NetDevOps,” “Network Automation,”);
  • “Hype Cycle for Enterprise Networking, 2023”2 (“NetDevOps”);
  • “Hype Cycle for Data Center Infrastructure Technologies, 2023”3 (“Infrastructure Orchestration”);
  • “Hype Cycle for Site Reliability Engineering, 2023”4 (“Infrastructure Orchestration”);
  • “Hype Cycle for Operating Models, 2023”5 (“Infrastructure Orchestration,” “NetDevOps”);
  • “Hype Cycle for Compute, 2023”6 (“Infrastructure Orchestration”).

According to the “Hype Cycle for I&O Automation, 2023,” Gartner says, “Automation is a transformational investment for infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders. Investments in this area reflect the need to enable improved speed to market, increased business agility, mitigation of security and compliance risk, optimization of performance, and minimization of service costs.”

“We see Itential’s inclusion in six Gartner Hype Cycle reports as a clear sign that the market is maturing and recognizing that automation and orchestration via DevOps principles are important, not just in networking but in the larger infrastructure market as a whole,” said Chris Wade, CTO Itential. “In today’s world of continuous delivery and frequent deployments, automation and orchestration have become imperative to modern enterprises. The Itential Automation Platform allows I&O teams to simplify and accelerate automation at scale, reduce risk, and efficiently transform network and infrastructure activities into self-serve, application-driven outcomes.”

The report further states that “By 2025, 70% of organizations will implement structured infrastructure automation to deliver flexibility and efficiency, which is a significant increase from 20% in 2021”; and that “automation is the engine that accelerates delivery of value. I&O leaders must view automation as a core capability that optimizes performance and enables velocity and efficiency as they embrace the overarching trends of programmable infrastructure, hybrid infrastructure and platform approaches to operations.”

The Gartner Hype Cycle provides a graphic representation of the maturity and adoption of technologies and applications, and how they are relevant to solving real business problems while also exploiting new opportunities. The Hype Cycles illustrate what is considered the most relevant innovations for technology leaders to adopt and put in place and rated both ‘Infrastructure Orchestration’ and ‘Network Automation’ as providing a high level of benefit, with ‘NetDevOps’ providing transformational benefits.

The world’s largest companies use Itential’s automation products to deliver services faster, simplify network and infrastructure change management, and maintain security with standardized configuration and compliance. Itential helps to simplify and accelerate the journey from manual IT processes to self-service automation, operationalizing infrastructure automation at scale.

Earlier this month, Itential announced the issuance of two new U.S. patents related to its network integration, automation, and orchestration technology. Its patented approach simplifies the creation of automation workflows across all infrastructure by seamlessly integrating with any IT system and network or cloud infrastructure technology, enabling teams to rapidly build and deploy low-code, end-to-end automations and orchestrations without having to retrain or reskill.
