Today is another big day at Itential. We’re proud to announce that Gartner has named Itential a 2022 Cool Vendor in Network Automation. This report, authored by analysts Andrew Lerner, Jonathan Forest, and Karan Brown, examined vendors offering new approaches to solve operational challenges that help infrastructure leaders and network teams to drive efficiency, uptime, agility, and enable scale.

What Does it Mean to be Cool?

According to Gartner, a Cool Vendor is “a small company offering a technology or service that is innovative, impactful, or intriguing.” The three elements of a Cool Vendor include:

  • Innovative: Enables users to do things they could not do before.
  • Impactful: Has or will have a business impact, not just technology for its own sake.
  • Intriguing: Has caught Gartner’s interest during the past six months.

In our opinion, Gartner’s recognition of Itential and the challenges that enterprises are facing as they evolve their automation efforts from manual processes toward programmable approaches reinforces the fundamental concept our company was founded upon – that modern infrastructure requires equally modern products and solutions to achieve business transformation objectives. Itential’s suite of low-code automation products does just that.

Gartner analyst Andrew Lerner states that while “we do see increased interest in network automation inspired by cloud and DevOps, as there is a strong desire for better uptime, agility, simplicity and scale to drive efficiency.” Yet, the majority of network tasks still remain manual with “the primary reasons due to a lack of skills, culture averse to change (and potentially introducing unnecessary risk) and general uncertainty with how to get started.”

At Itential, we hear repeatedly from customers that knowing where to start is the hardest part, which is why we built a flexible product ecosystem that meets customers where they are in their journey. From scripts to self-service – our focus on low-code automation for hybrid cloud networks enables our enterprise customers to fully realize automated end-to-end processes. Until now, infrastructure automation has been mainly an aspirational goal, but Itential’s platform allows organizations to efficiently transform network activities into self-serve, application-driven outcomes.

Why Itential is Cool

Gartner analyst Andrew Lerner noted the broad range of activities supported by the Itentials’ Automation Platform, its simplicity in setting up automation tasks and workflows, and its proven scalability as key benefits for enterprises and networking operators looking to advance their network automation efforts.

Itential is cool because it empowers organizations to significantly improve [their] level of network automation.

Simply put, Itential is redefining network automation at scale. The world’s largest companies use our automation products to deliver services faster, simplify network change management, and maintain security with standardized configuration and compliance. Itential helps to accelerate the journey from manual processes to self-service automation, operationalizing network automation at scale.

If that sounds interesting, I welcome you to test drive our platform for free or schedule some time to chat with our automation experts.
