Itential Named a 2022 Gartner Cool Vendor in Network Automation

Company’s “broad and strong” automation platform cited as key reason enterprises and networking operators should consider Itential

ATLANTA, April 27, 2022Itential, the leader in network and cloud automation software, today announced it has been named a Cool Vendor in Gartner’s 2022 “Cool Vendors in Network Automation” by Jonathan Forest, Andrew Lerner, and Karen Brown. Gartner’s Cool Vendors research included Itential among four “emerging cool network automation vendors that bring new approaches to solve operational challenges.”

Gartner analyst Andrew Lerner noted “Itential is cool because it empowers organizations to significantly improve [their] level of network automation” and cited the broad range of activities supported by the company’s automation platform, its simplicity in setting up automation tasks and workflows, and its proven scalability as key benefits for enterprises and networking operators looking to advance their network automation efforts.

“We are excited to be named a Gartner Cool Vendor, further validating Itential’s mission to operationalize network automation,” said Chris Wade, CTO of Itential. “Our focus on low-code automation for hybrid cloud networks enables our enterprise customers to fully realize automated end-to-end processes. Traditionally, infrastructure automation has been mainly an aspirational goal, but Itential’s platform allows organizations to efficiently transform network activities into self-serve, application-driven outcomes.”

According to Gartner, a Cool Vendor is “a small company offering a technology or service that is innovative, impactful, or intriguing.” The three elements of a Cool Vendor include:

  • Innovative — Enables users to do things they could not do before.
  • Impactful — Has or will have a business impact, not just technology for its own sake.
  • Intriguing — Has caught Gartner’s interest during the past six months.
