ATLANTA, October 27, 2026 – Itential, the agentic operations platform for infrastructure, today unveiled Itential AI Skills, an open-source portfolio that enables teams to build, operate, and administer the Itential Platform through leading AI coding environments. The portfolio brings Itential-specific expertise into the tools teams already use, providing a headless way to create platform assets, manage operational work, and administer their environment through plain-language requests.
AI is changing how network and infrastructure automation is built and operated, enabling more people to turn their expertise into action. Teams can accelerate delivery, simplify day-to-day operations, and scale automation programs beyond a small group of specialists. As AI expands what teams can accomplish, governed execution becomes increasingly important to putting that work into production.
The skills provide reusable Itential expertise to translate plain-language requests into platform actions. Those actions use the platform’s existing permissions, execution controls, and operational visibility, connecting the speed and flexibility of agentic development and operations with a governed foundation for infrastructure automation.
The portfolio organizes Itential expertise into three skill packs:
Teams can start with the pack that matches their responsibilities or use all three together as their work spans development, operations, and administration.
Itential AI Skills supports Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, GitHub Copilot in VS Code, and Cursor. The packs provide consistent Itential guidance across these environments, allowing teams to adopt a shared approach without standardizing on a single coding tool.
Organizations can add naming conventions, design standards, and operating procedures through organization, team, and personal customization layers. Builder Skills also stores delivery artifacts and project state in files, supporting handoffs between engineers using different supported tools.
The skills connect using configured Itential credentials, with platform permissions determining which resources and actions the authenticated account can access.
Itential AI Skills builds on the company’s broader investment in agentic infrastructure operations. The Itential MCP Server connects external AI applications to platform capabilities, FlowMCP Gateway brings external MCP tools into workflows and agents, and FlowAI provides an agent harness for building and running agents within Itential. AI Skills extends this portfolio with headless development, operations, and administration through leading AI coding tools.
The announcement follows FlowAI’s inclusion in Gartner® Coolest Vendor Innovations in Agentic AI for Enterprise Networking, published July 14, 2026, and Itential’s inclusion as a Representative Vendor in the Market Guide for Agentic NetOps Software, published May 19, 2026.
Itential AI Skills is available as an open-source portfolio for use with the Itential Platform. Access to an Itential environment is required. To explore Builder, Operator, and Admin Skills, view demonstrations, and find installation guidance, visit here.
