SD-WAN Is The On-Ramp To A Multicloud Highway

As the reality of a multicloud world grows, every enterprise is going have to deal with a complex computing network designed to utilize new services, place data in more ideal places, and assure security against a broadening attack plane. Software-defined wide area networking is an established technology that’s been talked about for quite some time as one avenue to reducing the complexities underlying the process of modernization — so how can a company utilize SD-WAN to make their journey to multicloud simpler?

5G, Security, IoT & ROI: Some Assembly & Automation Required

The current 5G commercialization wave has already moved the needle in terms of providing 5G users with access to new services. While this is only the beginning, communications service providers (CSPs) must still validate the business models when rolling out new services to ensure they deliver a positive cash flow. For example, CSPs must validate the models for Internet of Things (IoT) services running over 5G networks. These services will undoubtedly become a staple of the services landscape, given the broad range of applications possible.

Transitioning To DevOps: The Four Priorities

Enterprises across the world today are becoming increasingly interested in leveraging DevOps to deliver applications and services at a fast pace. However, at most organizations, awareness of DevOps has remained confined to abstract principles rather than practical knowledge. There is a strong misunderstanding about the purpose of DevOps and, as a result, many companies are far less confident in implementing agile operations on the ground. So, what do organizations need to look out for?

An Introduction To Machine Reasoning In Networks

Over the last decade, deep learning has become perhaps the most impactful and routinely applied subset of artificial intelligence across important commercial applications such as image, scene and natural language understanding, and robotics. However, there remain several shortcomings that hinder the application of machine learning (ML) algorithms in some areas of higher complexity.

Prioritize DevOps And Agile Outcomes, Not Transformation

Digital transformation, invariably, carries some level of baggage. You can deploy different tools, but the people who follow processes are harder to change. You can’t buy buy-in. Here at the DevOps Enterprise Summit, much of the discussion relates to culture and the IT organization, from how to win the hearts and minds of executives to convincing project managers and developers to change their daily tasks. Technical team members can have a hard time seeing the forest for the trees; they focus on their individual development, test and other responsibilities rather than the concept of business value.
