Atlanta, GA –  Itential, an innovator in network automation solutions, today announced it will present expert tips and recommended open-sourced tools to help organizations advance their network automation practices at the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG 72) conference in Atlanta this month. Itential Network Automation Strategies Director Patrick Moore will lead the session, “Network Automation: Do I Need Expensive Tools To Do Meaningful Automation,” Feb. 20, 11:10 a.m. in the Loews Atlanta Hotel Ellington Ballroom.

Moore’s presentation will cover automation domains, configuration management use cases, a sample architecture and recommended open source tooling for network automation. Additionally, participants will see several case studies for configuration backup, configuration differential and restore, and MOP automation that will enable them to attempt similar implementations on their own.

Before and after the session that day, Itential will host a breakfast and lunch for conference attendees where the company will showcase its new solutions for simplifying network automation and collect market research from attendees on the state of automation and orchestration in their organizations.

NANOG is the professional association for Internet engineering, architecture and operations. The organization focuses on continuous improvement of data transmission technologies, practices and facilities that make the Internet function.

NANOG members typically serve on the engineering and product staffs of the major North American carriers, content providers, hosting and cloud companies, multi-tenant data centers, and interconnection service providers. Each year, NANOG hosts three meetings, with 500 to 600 delegates attending each conference.

Itential is actively involved in the emergence of software defined networks (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) to make networks faster and stronger through the new paradigm of a programmable network, leveraging both vendor and open source solutions.

“NANOG 72 is a great time and place for tech professionals to network with colleagues, freshen-up skills, and learn advanced networking automation techniques and applications,” said Itential CTO and Co-Founder Chris Wade. “We’re looking forward to meeting everyone there and sharing Itential’s insights and success in strengthening networks for organizations to improve how they deliver content and services to their customers.”
