Pronghorn Support Training

The Itential Pronghorn Support Training course introduces the Pronghorn Application Server platform.  The course reviews the platform’s benefits, how it is used to build network automation applications and workflows, and describes its architecture.  Attendees will learn

  • how to troubleshoot users’ applications questions and problems

  • how to identify problem causes, implement remedies, and escalation procedures.

  • system-level tasks including user management, starting and stopping Pronghorn, upgrading Pronghorn, and database tasks

Attendees will learn through lectures and labs.  Attendees will install a Pronghorn system on a remote virtual machine.  Each attendee will be assigned his or her own virtual machine.

Class duration: 1 day.

Pronghorn Workflow Designer Training

The Itential Pronghorn Workflow Designer Training course introduces the Pronghorn Application Server platform.  The course reviews the platform’s benefits, how it is used to build network automation applications and workflows, and describes its architecture.  Attendees will learn

  • workflow structure and execution

  • how to design and build workflows

  • how to test and troubleshoot workflows

  • integrating forms into workflows with the Form Builder Application

  • automatically verifying network state before and after network changes using the MOP Application’s command and analytics templates.

Attendees will learn through lectures and labs.  Attendees will work in a Pronghorn system running on a remote virtual machine.  Each attendee will be assigned his or her own virtual machine.  Attendees will build, modify, review, and troubleshoot workflows.  Attendees will learn how to locate relevant functions for workflow tasks, configure tasks, and assemble tasks together to construct an automated job.

Class duration: 2 days.

Pronghorn Developer Training

The Itential Pronghorn Developer Training course introduces the Pronghorn Application Server development platform.  Attendees will learn

  • The Pronghorn architecture

  • How to write a Pronghorn adapter

  • How to build a workflow

  • How to write a Pronghorn cog

  • How to call Pronghorn brokers

  • How to create views

  • How to store data using Pronghorn’s persistence broker

Attendees will learn through lectures and labs.  Attendees will develop on a remote virtual machine with the Pronghorn Application Server already installed. Each attendee will be assigned his or her own virtual machine.  Attendees will build an application, adapter, and custom workflow to support automated customer service change orders for a fictitious company.
